Botanical Inks

TirGlas natural inks are handmade in small batches, we use our tried and tested recipes as well as historical formulae. All of our inks are made using natural, ethically sourced ingredients. Plant, insect and mineral pigments combined with natural binders. We handcraft the traditional inks such as Oak Gall (also called Iron Oak Gall) as well as Walnut and Sap Green, but also include Weld, Cochineal, Logwood, Indigo and others. The result, a natural botanical ink in extraordinary colours from nature.

Inkwells, Water Bowls and Pen Stands

TirGlas inkwells, water bowls and pen stands are hand thrown by a ceramist in West Wales to the TirGlas design. Glazed in greens, blues, browns and golds, each has a turned foot ring making them beautiful miniatures. Available as individual pieces or a set.

Watercolours and Pastels

TirGlas watercolours and pastels are in the development and testing stage at the moment but will be coming to the website soon. As with our natural inks, our paints and pastels will be handmade using natural ethically sourced pigments and binders. Both plant and mineral earth pigments are used in our recipes.
