Candles

Our handmade candles and diffusers are crafted in small batches using high-quality, natural ingredients. They are an eco-friendly product from the wax to the wicks.

Yes, our handmade products use natural, plant-based waxes like soy and coconut wax. Our diffuser base is vegan and no part of the products are tested on animals.

The burn time for candles does depend on the size of the candle. Each of our products has an estimated burn time on their website page. Typically our candles burn for 20 to 40 hours whereas reed diffusers can last anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks depending on room temperature and air circulation.

Yes and yes! Apart from plant-based waxes, vegan rated diffuser bases and cruelty-free practices, our packaging is plastic free and recyclable.

We use either eco-friendly, lead/metal free cotton wicks or wooden wicks depending on the size of the candle. Both these options are designed to ensure a clean, even burn with minimal soot.

Generally yes, although it does depend on the room size. Candles and diffusers work best in small to medium-sized rooms. For larger spaces, you may need multiple products or a more concentrated scent.

We have a number of fragrances available, some all through the year and other seasonal fragrances. We're sorry but you can't customise the packing boxes.

Firstly, you should trim the wick to 50 millimetres (¼ inch - or the size of a thumbnail) before each burn. Let the melted wax cover the whole surface of the candle to avoid 'tunnelling'. Lastly, keep your candles away from draughts.

f you want a crackling wick candle, then your candle must have a wooden wick!

When any wood is heated, its molecules start to break down and release water vapour. This water vapour can become trapped in the pores of the wood, creating small pockets of air. As a wooden wick candle burns, the heat from the flame causes these pockets of air to expand.

Eventually, the pressure inside the pockets becomes too great and they 'explode', releasing a burst of steam - this creates the desirable candle crackling sounds.

Reed Diffusers

On average, a 100ml glass bottle reed diffuser should last between three and four months. But what does 'on average' mean? Factors affecting this average,

  • where the reed diffuser is placed. Try to avoid placing them near to outside doors or even doors to halls where the fragrance can get 'lost'.
  • also try to avoid radiators as the heat will cause the reed diffuser oil to evaporate more quickly.
  • more reeds in the reed diffuser will cause the diffuser oil to evaporate more quickly
  • the quality of the reeds.

Try flipping or turning the reeds upside down to refresh the fragrance. For a stronger aroma, increase the number of reeds. If the oil level is low, it may be time for a refill or replacement.

A Reed diffuser consists of three parts.

  • a container, usually a glass jar.
  • the diffuser oil containing your chosen fragrance.
  • reeds (long sticks) to absorb the diffuser oil.

They can vary in size but most popular is a 100 ml reed diffuser glass jar.

Reed Diffusers disperse fragrance into a room or a home, not by a candle with a lighted flame but from reeds inserted into glass jars. These glass jars contain diffuser oils which are infused with fragrance oils. As the reeds absorb the oils, the fragrances are released or evaporated into your home
