What Are Handmade Candles?
All our handmade candles are individually crafted by us in small batches in our Cardiff Workshop rather than manufactured on a large industrial scale. Our candle makers choose the materials, calculate the wax to fragrance ratios, weigh the ingredients, centre the wicks, hand pour the candles and finally box them up for delivery - a process that begins and ends in our workshop.
We use ethically sourced planted-based waxes such as soy wax and high-quality fragrances. The fragrances are designed for plant-based waxes for a cleaner burn. We do not buy in candles for resale - all candles on this website have been handmade by us.

Types of Wax Used in Handmade Candles
There are many choices to be made regarding candle waxes. We have chosen to use only plant-based, sustainable candle wax.

Soy Wax
A popular option derived from soybeans. It burns cleanly and holds fragrance well, making it ideal for everyday use. -
Coconut Wax
Known for its smooth texture and excellent scent throw. It is often blended with other waxes for optimal performance. -
Blended Waxes
Blending the best features of soy and coconut waxes.
All waxes are paraben and cruelty free - there is no testing of these waxes on any animals.
Seasonal Candles
Whilst our Signature Candles are available all year around, we have seasonal candles with their own fragrances for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. In addition we have candles for specific days or celebrations, such as Halloween, Easter and Christmas.

- Trim the wick to about 5mm before each burn. This helps prevent soot and ensures an even flame.
- Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface during the first burn to avoid tunneling.
- Keep candles away from drafts to maintain a steady burn.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
