ReDesigned has developed a unique line of styles to reduce the environmental impact by using waste leather from production. These pieces are created from leather scraps left over from cutting and from torn or cut hides. During the tanning process, skins can be damaged, resulting in torn or cut sections. These are typically sorted, unused, and discarded by tanneries, creating material waste.

• FSC certified recycled materials

ReDesigned use FSC-certified hangtags made from degradable and or recycled natural materials like wood and paper. The packaging is also 100% climate neutral. It is created from Scandinavian trees grown in FSC-certified forests and processed in Scandinavian mills using renewable energy, ensuring minimal CO2 emissions at each step.

• Validated working conditions

All production processes undergo rigorous validation through SMETA, Sedex's widely recognised social audit methodology. This enables businesses to thoroughly assess their suppliers and the working conditions throughout their supply chain. Re:designed ensure adherence to high standards encompassing workplace conditions, health and safety protocols, environmental responsibility, and ethical labour practices.

  ReDesigned packaging bags have the smallest possible carbon footprint. They are made from Scandinavian trees, grown in FSC-certified forests. Produced in Scandinavian mills, using climate friendly renewable energy sources. At each step CO2 emissions are minimised. ReDesigned calculate the small remaining footprint and compensate for this in a Gold Standard project.
