We are a Welsh lifestyle and heritage brand guided by three core principles: Natural, Traditional, and Handmade. TirGlas values natural materials, traditional craftsmanship, and handmade quality. The brand is rooted in Welsh heritage and committed to sustainable, authentic making.

TirGlas is best known for its authentic Welsh blankets woven in Wales from pure new wool. They also offer a curated selection of artisan goods, including hand-dyed yarns, dyed exclusively with natural dyes, handmade ceramic yarn bowls, ethically sourced sheepskin rugs, and premium leather project bags for knitting and crochet.

Beyond its products, TirGlas stands for hands-on education and community. The brand hosts regular workshops in Cardiff focusing on sustainable natural dyeing, candle and wreath making.

The name "TirGlas" itself translates from Welsh to "Green Land," reflecting the brand's core ethos of environmental consciousness and a sustainable, circular economy. This is our journey and voyage of discovery in traditional Heritage crafts, which includes weaving, wool – the journey of the fleece, yarn and the diverse use of natural dyes.

TirGlas is a Welsh brand deeply rooted in the principles of nature, tradition, and handmade craftsmanship. With a strong emphasis on Welsh heritage and sustainable practices, we offer a range of artisan products, with wool at the heart of our company.

Key product offerings include:

* Welsh Blankets and Throws: A signature product line, these blankets are woven in mills in Wales from pure new wool and feature traditional Welsh designs. They are celebrated for their quality, warmth, and durability.

  * Hand-Dyed Yarn: Welsh and organic yarns, all dyed with natural, ethically sourced dyes - no exceptions. 'Farm to Yarn' yarns are fully traceable from a farm to the final spinning mill in Wales.

 * Artisan Leather Goods: handmade leather products by ReDesigned, including knitting bags, cases and organisers, that emphasise longevity and timeless design.

 * Sheepskin Rugs: Sourced from UK flocks, these rugs are presented in their natural fleece colours.

 * Cardiff Workshops: Natural Dye Workshops on how to use natural dyes with a tutor with over 20 years experience in natural dyes. Other workshops available include candle and wreath making.

 * Other Homewares and Gifts: The product line also extends to tapestry purses and cases, handmade yarn bowls, and botanical inks.

Sustainability

We aim to place Sustainability at the core of what we do. We are a "net zero website". All our shipping transportation has net zero emissions, and we are almost a plastic free business.
