TirGlas Handmade Botanical Inks

Complimenting our Toms Studios pens are our botanical inks. Handmade in small batches using our tried and tested recipes as well as historical formulae and only natural ethically sourced ingredients. Plant, insect and mineral pigments with natural binders. The result, a botanical ink in extraordinary colours from nature.

Why Choose Botanical Inks?

• All of our inks are handmade by us on-site in our Dye House.
• Made with 100% natural dyes - no exceptions!
• The Oak Gall ink has been made using the oak galls foraged from the trees in our garden.
• 30ml heavy bottomed glass bottles have a screw top lid and also a pipette.
• For use with dip pens and brushes, in a variety of colours.

Perfect for calligraphy, pen work, or painting, these natural inks are beautiful when used individually or layer and mix the inks to create a range of new colours and tones. Recommended to be used with dip pens and brushes, or mark makers of choice, but not suitable for fountain pens.

Each ink behaves slightly differently depending on paper type and application method, encouraging experimentation and discovery.
