The words "Thank You" and "Thank You very Much" are used in everyday life in Welsh, in the same way as in English.
- "Diolch" means Thanks.
- "Diolch yn fawr" means thanks a lot, and
- "Diolch yn fawr iawn" means thank you very much. (Literally it means a very big thanks!!).
- "Diolch yn fawr i chi am ganu" means thank you very much for singing.
