They are a fantastic source of warmth and comfort and all our blankets for sale are not vintage or used or second-hand blankets.

Over the years, new colours have been introduced which have become almost as popular as the traditional colours.

Double Cloth Welsh Blankets

Each tapestry blanket is an example of double cloth weaving. A blanket is created by weaving two independent Two independent separate layers of the blanket on a loom. The two layers are joined together at regular points in the weaving. The result? One blanket, super thick, warm and cosy 'double cloth' blanket which is fully reversible. The images below show the front and reverse side of each blanket.
