A beautiful Welsh Kid Mohair yarn, sourced locally from a smallholding in Llandysul the fleece was spun at our local mill. A lovely yarn, soft with a subtle shine, a joy to dye with the natural dyes. 100% Welsh yarn with provenance from farm to yarn.
The couple that own this smallholding are getting on in years now, both in their late 70's they have given their lives to raising and caring for their flocks, both sheep and goats. We are hoping to purchase their fleece again this year but also realise they are close to retiring. We have been extremely fortunate to be able to dye their yarn.
All of our hand dyed yarn is dyed in small batches. If there isn't enough for your project, email us here and we will dye to order.
Fibre Content - Welsh Wool Alpaca Marl
Yarn Weight/Length - 4PLY 100g/350m
Needle Size - 3.25mm to 3.75mm WPI 18/20
(needle size will depend on the fabric you require for your project)
Yarn Care - Wash by hand in a pH neutral wash to avoid changing the natural colour of the fabric you have created! Dry out of direct sunlight.
